MEGAN RILEY, MA
Counselor, Spiritual Guidance, Nature Therapy, Forest Bathing
There was a time long ago when humans were as connected to Nature, Mother Earth, as one could say they’re connected to a family member or close friend now. There was a bond, a profound relationship, a communication running deep between humans and Earth. That connection has been lost, broken. It is my mission to help build and bridge that connection once again.
Nature and humans, we are one in the same.
It is my belief that as we’ve lost touch with Nature, we’ve also lost touch with ourselves. The further we remove ourselves from Nature, the further we remove ourselves from the true essence of who we really are. Nature soothes. Nature nurtures. Nature guides and teaches us about ourselves all the time, if we allow it to do so. The first step is getting yourself connected to It once again!

~3 GUIDING PRINCIPLES~
Megan is a guide, a mentor, and an empath- a living bridge between the physical world and that of the spiritual world. She has dedicated her life to Walking the Good Red Road, which speaks to a way of being in this world: a way of being with our own true self, a way of being with each other as a human race, and a way of being with our Mother Earth.
Megan's work is fundamentally grounded in these 3 Guiding Principles:

    1. Humans and all aspects of Nature are of the same family. We are in equal partnership and relationship to each other.
2. Just as humans carry a soul, a spirit, or an “energetic rhythm” one might say, so too, does every element of Nature.
3. When open to it, there can be an energetic exchange, a relationship of giving and receiving, that transpires between Nature and us. This relationship promotes healing, growth, and love not only for ourselves and each other, but for the healing, growth, and love of our Earth as well.

About Megan and Coyoteguides...
Megan graduated in 2000 with a BA in Elementary Education and Human Development from Boston College. She later went on to pursue her MA in School Counseling from Montana State University in Bozeman, MT, graduating in 2006. She spent 15 years in the world of education, as both an educator and school counselor. Much of this time was spent living out West in parts of Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming. Not only did Megan gain experience and knowledge working with others as both teacher and counselor while living out West, but she was also gifted ample exposure to a place that had always felt like a “coming home” for her. It was a place of peace, of nurturing- a place where she could reconnect to self, a place that always allowed her to be exactly as she needed to be at any given moment. This place? Nature.
When Megan left the education world and returned to the East coast, she brought with her a strong desire to deepen her spiritual walk. She graduated from the Won Institute of Graduate Studies (Glenside, PA) with Certification in Applied Meditation Studies, and later became certified as a yoga instructor. In addition, Megan is a Certified Wilderness First Responder, and she completed an apprenticeship program with the Philadelphia Outward Bound School in Spring of 2019.
Megan has also been a student of Native American teachings and traditions since 2015, studying under her Teacher, Native American Shaman, Eagle Skyfire. This walk and these teachings have profoundly impacted the way Megan lives and perceives life within this world in which we live. As we each walk along this path called life, it is with the utmost gratitude to all of her Teachers that she can share this knowledge and way of being with others.
